Things to do with kids in NYC: Toy’r’Us Time Square

Even at the age of 33
I am marvelled when I walked into Toy”r”Us in Time Square New York!
I could hear my brain silently singing
I don’t wanna grow up…
I’m a Toy”r”Us Kid… Kid… Kid!

Other than toys, the 110,000 square feet super toy store also boast many other attractions, such as the 60-foot Ferris wheel and the animated life-sized T-Rex dinosaur.

Toys“R”Us Times Square is a “must see” destination
for kids of all ages and for those young at heart.

5 Things to do with Kids in Frankfurt Germany

Things to do with Kids in Frankfurt Germany.
This is by far not the most extensive list of things to do in Frankfurt Germany.
But, it was the ONLY things we did given the limited amount of time we had.

Naturmuseum Senckenberg
The second largest museum of natural history located at Frankfurt am Main; Germany. It is particularly popular with children, who enjoy extensive collection of dinosaur skeletons: Senckenberg boasts the largest exhibition of large dinosaurs in Europe. One particular treasure is a dinosaur fossil with unique, preserved scaled skin.

Alte Oper
The original opera house in Frankfurt is now the Alte Oper (Old Opera) and a concert hall and former opera house in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

The Alte Oper was almost completely destroyed by bombs during World War II in 1944, but it was slowly rebuilt in the 1970s financed by its citizens.

The citizens of Frankfurt, who had to finance the structure, were rather sceptical at first alluding to the inscription on the frieze “Dem Wahren, Schönen, Guten” which means “To the true, the beautiful, the good”.

Experiminta Museum Frankfurt
The layout of this science museum is a bit odd as compared to other science museums. There were small rooms along hallways rather than large open areas. There is no information in English, but most of the activities are fairly self-evident. Even so, it kept the kids occupied for an hour or more…..

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag Hiroshi!

I swear I am all sober and not talking incoherently!

Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Geburtstag Hiroshi simply means
Happy Birthday Hiroshi in German.

If you’ve missed our previous posting,
we are currently taking a 3 weeks holiday in Frankfurt and New york!

It’s incredible to think that we’ve muddled our way into parenthood for the past 8 years.
At times, I think God has forgotten to drop off the instructional booklet of parenting when he “delivered” the kids!

Being 8 is an extremely sensitive age. It is one that you hate to be parented like a baby but yet want to test every boundaries being set up. We do our best as parents to educate. To teach, what’s right from wrong. And what the world expects of us.

Parenting is one whole blob of grey area. We cannot parent each child the same way as Hitler did. But, are we parenting the right way?!?!? (Seriously, is there even a thing call the RIGHT way of parenting?)

We are sometimes not proud of the parenting decisions we make…..

But when you made your Birthday wish tonight of having family day every day,
I could literately feel my heart melting!
We must have done something right along the way….

Happy Birthday my dear Hiroshi!
It doesn’t matter what the future holds.
My only wish is for you to grow up heathly and happy…..
